Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to 16-0 Game (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our website at 16-0game.com (the “Site”), how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Game data: Your draft picks and simulated results are processed in your browser and local progress is stored in your browser’s localStorage. We do not require accounts. Optional leaderboard submissions and private game-event records are sent to our servers as described below.
- Leaderboard submissions: If you choose to submit a result to the public leaderboard, we store the display name you enter together with your score and result details (such as record and difficulty). No email address or account is required, and display names are shown publicly. Submitting is entirely optional.
- Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site activity, such as page views, external referrers, device type and approximate country. It does not use cookies, localStorage or cross-site tracking, and does not identify individual players. This helps us understand, for example, whether Instagram is bringing players to the Site.
- Campaign counts: When you visit a link we have specifically tagged for a social campaign (for example, an Instagram bio or post), we record the campaign label and date as an aggregate count. We do not attach a player, device or account identifier to that count.
- Game-event counts: When you start or finish a game, we may send the event type, game mode and (for a Daily Challenge) the date, stage and total wins to our leaderboard service. To calculate de-duplicated player and Daily-ladder totals, the Site also stores a random first-party identifier in localStorage and sends that opaque identifier with these events. It is not linked to a name, email, account, game selections or cross-site activity.
- Log data: Our hosting provider may temporarily process standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and operations.
3. Advertising
The Site may be supported by advertising. During the current AdSense review, visible advertising placements are disabled. If Google AdSense advertising is enabled after approval, Google and its partners may process data as described below.
- Google AdSense: Google and its partners use advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google may collect and use data as described in the Google Partner Sites policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Third-party vendors and ad networks may serve ads on the Site. You can opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info/choices (US), youronlinechoices.eu (EU), or via your browser settings.
4. Cookies
The Site does not use analytics cookies. We use localStorage for game functionality (for example your results, daily streak and display-name preference) and for the random identifier used to deduplicate private play analytics. Google and its partners may set cookies when ads are displayed after approval and the required consent configuration is in place. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the game remains fully playable without them.
5. Legal Bases & Consent (EEA/UK)
We will not enable personalized advertising for visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland until an appropriate Google-certified consent-management platform is configured. Where required by law, that flow will collect consent before advertising cookies or personal-data signals are used. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set analytics cookies.
6. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
- Access / portability: you may request a copy of personal data we hold (we hold effectively none beyond optional leaderboard display names and transient logs).
- Rectification / erasure: you may request correction or deletion - including removal of a leaderboard entry; tell us the display name and approximate date of submission.
- Objection / restriction: you may object to or restrict processing.
- CCPA: California residents may request disclosure or deletion of personal information and may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information via the ad-cookie opt-out links in Section 3. We do not sell personal information ourselves.
To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
8. Data Retention & Security
We maintain no user accounts. localStorage data stays on your device until you clear it. Our private play-analytics database retains only the random identifier and its first and last activity dates; it is not connected to a name, email or account. Leaderboard entries (display name and score) are retained so the all-time boards stay meaningful, and are removed on request. Transient server logs are retained by our hosting provider only as long as operationally necessary.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
