About the 16-0 Game

Build the perfect IPL season

What is this?

The 16-0 Game is a free browser team builder built around one question: could you assemble an all-time IPL starting XI good enough to win every match of a season - 14 league games, Qualifier 1 and the Final - without losing once? A perfect 16-0 has never happened. Since 2008 no franchise has even gone through the league stage unbeaten, let alone swept the playoffs on top. This game lets you chase the record nobody has touched.

How it works

A slot machine assigns you a random franchise and season - every IPL year from 2008 to 2026, eleven franchises including the long-gone Deccan Chargers - and you draft one real player at a time, filling an XI by role: openers and middle order, wicketkeeper, all-rounders, pace and spin, arranged in one of seven lineup shapes. You get one franchise swap and one year swap per draft, and a maximum of four overseas players - just like the real XI rule. After eleven picks the simulation engine weighs every unit and plays out the full season: 14 league matches against the ten current franchises, then the IPL playoff bracket of Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final. Bowling matters most: a leaky attack or a single passenger caps your ceiling no matter how many runs the top order stacks. Free to play, no account.
